If you are experiencing lesions of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, this can become bothersome and unsightly. Lesions may become infected, be cosmetically acceptable or reside in areas restricting activity, and on occasion may develop to be cancerous. Any skin lesion that is pigmented, itchy, red, or changing in character should be reviewed and monitored urgently. Most lesions of the skin and subcutaneous tissues (such as a lipoma) can be removed under local anaesthetic.
